Who we are

RR Security is the trading name of Rob Rasey, based in Andover, Hampshire. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website. You can contact us about privacy on 07771 742355.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry we collect the details you enter: your name, phone number, email address (if given), postcode, the services you are interested in, whether the property is a home or business, and any message you write. We also record the date and time of the enquiry and the page it was sent from.

Our hosting provider automatically processes technical information such as your IP address to deliver the website and protect it from abuse.

How we use it

• To contact you about your enquiry, arrange a visit and prepare a quote.
• To carry out and support any work you ask us to do.
• To keep records we are required to keep for tax and accounting purposes.

We do not sell your information and we do not send marketing emails or texts.

Lawful basis

We use enquiry details because you asked us to contact you, which is a step taken at your request before entering into a contract. Where you become a customer, we use your details to perform that contract and to meet legal obligations such as keeping financial records.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:

• Cloudflare, which hosts this website, stores enquiry form submissions and provides spam protection.
• An email delivery provider, used to send enquiry notifications to us.

These providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or an adequacy decision.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 24 months. Customer records are kept for six years after the end of the financial year they relate to, to meet tax requirements.

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask for a copy in a portable format. To use any of these rights, contact us using the details above.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

CCTV we install for you

When we install CCTV, you become the controller of the footage it records. If your cameras capture areas beyond your property boundary, data protection law may apply to you. The ICO publishes guidance for home and business CCTV users at ico.org.uk.
